Pirates Of the Caribbean: At World's End

Pirates Of the Caribbean: At World's End

Starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley. (12A)

If you saw huge hit Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, you'll remember it ended on a big cliffhanger – pirate Jack Sparrow (Depp) being swallowed by a nasty sea creature, and his pals Will (Bloom) and Elizabeth (Knightley) determined to save him. To do so, they have teamed up with that ghostly pirate Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), and their journey to find Jack means they must sail off the edge of the map, fight the deadly alliance of Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander), Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) and Norrington (Jack Davenport), and come face to face with dreaded pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun Fat).

While the second movie felt a bit like the filling of a sandwich, this final episode in the sea-faring saga is more of an action packed treat, with the added bonus of an appearance by Keith Richards, but to be honest, neither part two or three is really a patch on the first one.

Star Star Star

As with the previous movies, this is aimed at adults and children over 12.  Younger viewers will probably be scared during the numerous battle scenes, and will find Davy Jones and various other sea creatures frightening. The end may also upset them.
